The contract of Mirsad Terzic was about to expire in June of 2018, that was extended by one year, until 2019. The Bosnian left back and defender specialist arrived to Veszprém in 2009 from the Slovenian Celje. During his years he played on 394 games and scored 594 goals. He is an 8 times Hungarian champion, 8 times Hungarian Cup winner, 2 times SEHA League winner a 4 times participant of the Champions League Final4.
Máté Lékai extended his contract due 2019 to 2021. The Hungarian playmaker arrived to the team in 2014, from Celje as well. Máté played 153 games for the Club so far and on those he scored 423 goals. This season in the Champions League he is at 61 goals, which puts him to the 2nd spot in the top scorers’ board. He is a 3 times Hungarian champion and Cup winner, 2 times SEHA League winner and he participated in the CL Final4 3 times with the team.
Andreas Nilsson prolonged his contract due 2019 to 2021. The Swedish pivot signed with Veszprém in 2014, one year after winning the Champions League with Hamburg. So far, he played for the team 168 times and scored 452 goals on them. He is a 3 times Hungarian champion, a 3 times Hungarian Cup winner, 2 times SEHA League winner, while he could participate in the CL Final4 3 times with the team.
The contract of Dragan Gajic was expiring at the end of the season, but it was extended until 2020, which means that the former Slovenian national player and World Championship top scorer will play in Veszprém for 2 more years. Gajic arrived from Montpellier in 2016, where he was able to win the French championship. He played 68 games for the team so far and scored 297 goals. He won everything with Veszprém last year in the domestic tournaments and he could fulfill his lifelong dream of playing in the Final4.
Blaz Blagotinsek’s original contract lasted until 2019, but it was extended by 2 year, which means that the Slovenian giant will stay in Veszprém until 2021. While last season he did not get much playing time, this season he already tripled his goals in the Champions League. He scored 132 goals so far on 62 games. He won the Hungarian championship and Hungarian Cup once in Veszprém.
Dejan Manaskov came to Veszprém this summer from the German champions Rhein-Neckar Löwen, and he managed to convince the board of Veszprém that he has a place in the team. The original contract, which was about to expire at the end of the season, was extended until 2020. The already a crowd favorite Macedonian played 21 games and scored 64 goals in Veszprém.
