Veszprém – Zagreb pregame statements

MVM Veszprém is going to face against the PPD Zagreb again, but this time in the SEHA League on Monday at 5:30 pm. The game will be broadcasted live by Digi Sport 1. We asked Coach Xavi Sabaté and Mirko Alilovic about this upcoming derby game.

 

 

Xavi Sabaté: After this tough calendar we will play once again against a very good team. The Zagreb plays very well in this season. I expect a very tough match like it was in the Champions League. They showed they are a great team, they lost against Paris only by two goals, in Flensburg by one and we won only by two against them at home. So it will be obviously a very hard game again.

 

 

Mirko Alilovic: I think maybe it will not be so hard game like it was in the Champions League because both teams are already in the SEHA Final4. But a game between Veszprém and Zagreb is always a real derby. They are always a team that difficult to beat. They have hard defense and really patient offense. This is why we have had a lot of problems against them since Veselin Vujovic became their head coach. In almost every game the difference between the two teams was one or two goals. But of course we would like to win this game, too.
