Veszprém-Zagreb pregame statements

On Sunday, in the framework of Champions League, MVM Veszprém is going to host the team of PPD Zagreb at 3 PM. The match is broadcasted by Sport 1. We asked Coach Xavi Sabaté, Péter Gulyás, Mirko Alilovic and Gasper Marguc about the upcoming game.

 

 

Xavi Sabaté: I think we are facing a hard game. Zagreb is a great team full of young players who are constantly improving and there is a great coach standing by them. I’m sure we are going to fight hard on home court and do everything for the victory. Our team’s strength is based on our defense system and this time we are going to play as usual. Zagreb is good at offense but we are prepared for stopping them.

 

 

Péter Gulyás: This is going to be a hard match. Both teams will concentrate on defending. Zagreb also has a prepared coach and even if their team mostly consists of young players and they are having injured players, we always consider their team as a hard opponent. Although they won’t be playing on home court, they always do their best in the away games so we should take them seriously because they also want to end up in a better place in this group. This is our aim as well and we will do everything we can for the victory.

 

 

Mirko Alilovic: It will be a hard game but we will show what we are capable of in this season. Zagreb is a team hard to defeat so we need 100% performance. I hope we can perform well and gain victory on Sunday.

 

 

Gasper Marguc: We are expecting a hard game. We don’t expect too many goals during the match since the result of our last game was 21-20. Both teams have a strong defense system. They play better on home court than in an away game. We, on the other side, almost never lost points on home court so we expect victory from ourselves again.
