Veszprém – Vardar pregame statements

 

We asked our head coach and three players about their expectations against Vardar.

 

Ljubomir Vranjes: We have a difficult team ahead of us. They won a great game in Montpellier and they have two good victories. They are a good team and they arrive with great confidence to Veszprém. We want to continue winning at home and we will do everything. I think we have a great chance if we are disciplined and focused on the job.

 

 

Momir Ilic: I saw their two Champions League games and some SEHA League games and they are in a good form. They miss some players from last year but they still have a very good team. We have to be careful and prepare ourselves 100% for a tough game. If we can, we have a good chance to beat them at home, and we have to do it.

 

 

Blaz Blagotinsek: I expect a tough game because Vardar is playing very well. They are fast and their defense is great. In addition, their goalkeeper is in a very good form. Of course, we have to play a good match, much better than in Barcelona. We have to concentrated and focused. If we have good defense, than we have the possibility for fast breaks. We have to be disciplined in attack and play our game.

 

 

Dejan Manaskov: We play at home and after the loss in Barcelona we have to win this game. It will be hard because Vardar plays good handball. They have a different team but they are playing the same system they have been playing for years now. They played well until now as they won against Montpellier and destroyed Kristianstad. We have to be better than in Barcelona. We work in these couple of days that we have to prepare well. We have to give everything in front of our Fans and we must win on Saturday.
