Veszprém – Szeged pregame statements

 

The two-legs clash of the final of the K&H League will be played on Thurday at 6:30 p.m. between Telekom Veszprém and MOL-Pick Szeged. The first leg will be played in Veszprém, about which we asked the expectations of our head coach and players. The game will be boradcasted live by M4 Sport.

 

David Davis: We need to change the argument of the match. We need to play our first good game against Szeged. We need to go for the victory, play for the victory, and think in the victory. We need to give everything we have because this is the biggest moment of the season. We have arrived where we wanted to arrive. Now there are no excuses to not play a good game. They are making the best season ever since the Pastor era and when they started this season, until December they were a really strong team. They had high performance in both the Champions League and the domestic championship. We need to cut their streak because we are in a good moment. We are optimistic and confident and we need to use this against them.

 

 

Roland Mikler: We have arrived to the most beautiful part of the season. We have four games ahead of us, for which we prepare all year long. The first two will be the Hungarian finals, against a team, whom we have met a few times this season. We would like to come out victorious from this clash for the first time, which will decide the fate of the championship title. I am sure that everyone will concentrate 200% on this game and I hope that we can achieve a confident victory at home, on home court with a good performance for 60 minutes.

 

 

Gasper Marguc: We lost three times against Szeged this season, so of course, we are really really motivated. Even more than normally against them. We want to win the championship title and bring it back to Veszprém. We know that there are two tough game ahead of us, but we are in a good moment and in good form. I look for a positive outcome for us, especially in the home game. We do not see anything else than the victory.

 

 

Manuel Strlek: This is the most important period of the season. We know that we lost all three games against Szeged this year but we know what we need to do. I hope that we can win at home in front of our fans and work on a good advantage for the second game. In the last three matches against them, we did not play good handball and I think we can play much better. I am sure we will show it in the first game right away. We will give more than 100% in these games because we really want to win.
