Veszprém – Szeged pregame statements

MVM Veszprém is going to host MOL-Pick Szeged in Hungarian Championship Playoff this Saturday at 6:15 pm. This very important match will be broadcasted liv by M4. Before this derby game we asked our head coach Xavi Sabaté and three players.

 

 

Xavi Sabaté: This is the first match in the Hungarian League against Szeged, we will play at home. It will be very hard as all the games against Szeged. They have extremely hard defense like they showed it in the Hungarian Cup but we must be efficient against it. We will play at home and I am sure that the Arena will be full and all of our supporters would help us to try to beat Szeged. So I think we will have a great match.

 

 

Gergő Iváncsik: We are preparing a lot for this clash. We would definitely like to win on home court. Especially after the Hungarian Cup everyone could see that we have defeated a very-very powerful Szeged with penalties, therefore we would like to play better than that.

 

 

Máté Lékai: Of course everyone has been waiting for this match in the season, actually we can call this a championship final. Both teams are unbeaten so I am expecting a very hard game. The Cup Final was also very tight, however with a little bit of luck we managed to win that. We will play on home court so the aim is to win the match and as there is no championship final the goal would be to win this game with a high ratio. However I am telling you again that this is going to be really hard so we are expecting our fans support and I hope that we will win.

 

 

Ivan Sliskovic: There is a big rivalry here in Hungary between Veszprém and Szeged, so as in the Final4 of Hungarian Cup, this will be of course the game for the title. It will be a tough game against them. I think we will have the same points but these two games will decide who will be the champion. Therefore, I think that we have to be very-very good on Saturday and after that one week later in Szeged also. I think we have quality and if we will be better we can win.
