Champions’ League again in the Veszprém Arena on Saturday at 5:30PM. Telekom Veszprém’s guest will be Kadetten Schaffhausen. Live broadcast on Sport1. We have asked three of our players and our head coach.
Xavi Sabaté: This will be our first home match in the Champions’ League, what we have trained really hard for. We hope that most of our players can play after their injuries because this would provide the opportunity for greater rotation among the players. I believe that Scaffhausen is a great team so they deserved to be on this board thanks to their performance. They have several excellent players in their team including some who we know well. Such player is Gábor Császár, who is in a great shape and he played really well in the first round. We need to be careful and do our best to win and to improve.

László Nagy: Champions’ League is back again in the Veszprém Arena so I am sure that not only us but the fans are also excited about it. It is always a pleasure to play on home court in front of our own fans, especially in the CL. We would like to create an exciting and successful handball. This Swiss team should not be underestimated, we have to take every possibility into account and prepare for this game thoroughly.
Christian Ugalde: This group is extremely powerful, every team is close to the other in performance and I suppose it will be close at the end too. For this reason, we have to prepare well for every game and do our best. It will not be otherwise against Schaffhausen. I cannot wait for this match because this will be our first match in the Champions’ League on home court. I hope that it will be in front of a full house and our fans will provide fantastic atmosphere what we would like to thank with a victory, of course.

Gasper Marguc: These are the matches, what we are always waiting for, when we can play in front of a full house in the Veszprém Arena. I think that we played well in Flensburg but we could have brought 2 points home instead of one. We will continue the tournament on this week and we would like to get our first victory in the new season of the Champions’ League. Schaffhausen is not a bad team but it is clear that we are the possible winners of the match so the only acceptable thing is to get the two points. Everything else would be a disappointment for us.
