Veszprém – Plock pregame statements

The group phase of VELUX EHF Champions League goes on in this weekend. Telekom Veszprém is going to host the Orlen Wisla Plock in Veszprém Arena on Tuesday at 5 PM. The game will be broadcasted live by Sport1. Before the clash we asked our head coach and three players about this upcoming challenge.

 

 

Xavi Sabaté: We played a draw in their home in October. They are a great team and have good results. They caught Kiel with a draw in Germany. They are a team with really good players playing very good handball. They have a very strong defense with a very good goalkeeper. We need to play good and for that we need the help of all of our supporters, if we want to beat them this time. The key moments of the season are coming and we will need the support of everybody.

 

 

Máté Lékai: I expect a very unpleasant game because we always suffer against Plock. Their playing style is unpredictable. They play freely but I hope that the Arena will be full and we can deliver a great performance in front of our fans. I hope to keep the two points at home. We have to have a tighter defense than in October. This will be the key and the goalkeeper performance. Beside this a very important thing is that we must score easy fast break goals.

 

 

Dragan Gajic: I guess that we stepped on a positive way now with the win against Kiel. We have to confirm this win with two points against Plock. I hope that we can produce good and tactical handball so that our supporters can also enjoy our match on Saturday.

 

 

Blaz Blagontinsek: We know Plock is a good team, a very prestigious team now. They have some young players and some with big experience. We know that they have a good team because they played a draw against us at their home. But now we would like to win definitely in front of our own fans.
