Telekom Veszprém will host Montpellier HB in the Match of the Week in the VELUX EHF Champions League on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. The match will be broadcasted live by Sport1. We asked our head coach and three players about their expectations regarding that game.
David Davis: Montpellier is always a tricky team and it is complicated to play against them. They did not start the season well, but they play good handball. We need to be alert of course. I think that we are in a good way and we need to win all the matches at home. This will be the last Champions League game at home in this year so we want to win this!
Andreas Nilsson: I expect a tough game of course, especially now, that they lost to Kristianstad at home. I think they will try to come back and play a hard game. As we have showed recently, we are playing better and better. I think we can continue on this road and keep the two points in our own Arena. They play very fast handball, they run a lot and we have to take care of their fastbreaks. They also move the ball very fast in attack. It is very important for us to have a lot of free throws so we can disturb their game a bit.

Máté Lékai: I think that we are in a good run now. We won four games in a row, to which we were only capable of in the beginning of the season. I hope that we can extend this winning streak to five against Gyöngyös on Wednesday and we will collect the two points at home against Montpellier, closing the fall season of the Champions League. Nobody should underappreciate Montpellier, they are the titleholders, even though they did not perform in this group stage as they have planned. It will be a tough match. They play the same way at home and on the road as well, they have a certain style that was not our favorite in the recent years. There should be no excuses; we have to keep the two points at home.

Gasper Marguc: We are the favorites in our own Arena against anyone. We expect another two points. Montpellier is a bit down now, they lost against Kristianstad last weekend. I think it will be the reason for them to be extra motivated and to show that it was only a bad day. They are a good team. I do not expect an easy game, but if we play similarly as we played in Mannheim against Löwen we can expect the two points.
