Telekom Veszprém will host German side THW Kiel in the Match of the Week in the VLEUX EHF Champions League on Saturday at 17:30. We asked about the expectations of our head coach and players before the clash of the group.
David Davis: It is going to be Match of the Week. All of Europe will be watching our game. Kiel is, of course, a well-known team. They have been playing well this season, even though they changed the coach. I was watching their games from the Super Globe and naturally from the Champions League. They play in the same level despite their change of the head coach. They usually never lose games with more than one goal. It is going to be a tough game for sure, until the end.

Árpád Sterbik: Kiel is one of the biggest contender for the first place in our group, with us, and the Kielce, Vardar duo. These two points would be very important for us, to not lose the chance for the first spot in the group. I expect a tough game and hope that we come out positively at the end. Kiel played a draw against Kielce, and if I am no mistaken, they could not win many games in the last years against the Polish at home. Kielce is a big opponent for Kiel in the Champions League. Our opponent is a good and young team, with a new coach. I hope that we can win.

Rogerio Moraes Ferreira: This going to be our second game at home in the Champions League. We need to keep getting better and better, step-by-step. We already know that Kiel has a strong team, and they are back in the Champions League after winning the EHF Cup last year. I think it is going to be a hard game. This Match of the Week is going to be hard for them also, because they played a good game against Kielce. I expect a great game and a full Arena. Then, we will see what happens on Saturday.
Omar Yahia: It is going to be a hard game because Kiel is a great team. They had a huge game last weekend against Kielce and I think it is going to be the same here. I expect a close match, until the end, and we have to prove that we are as good as in the first game last weekend.
