Veszprém - Kiel pregame statements

We play Match of the Week on Sunday against THW Kiel. We asked our head coach and three players about the game ahead of us. 

 

Ljubomir Vranjes: They are one of the biggest club in the world. They had some difficulties in the beginning of the season so they come to Veszprém in a dangerous moment. We are going to be prepared as it is the most important game of the world. The key to win is our defense. We have to work good and we have to take away Kiel’s strong sides.

 

 

Cristian Ugalde: I expect to win of course because we have three wins already. It is always important to win against Kiel. Everybody says that Kiel is not that good this year, but everytime they come here we go head to head until the end. We have to play better to not let that happen this time. I hope we will play a great game and win it.

 

 

Andreas Nilsson: They did not start as they wanted this year but they still have a good team and good players. We always play a tight game against each other and I think this game will be a tight one as well. Hopefully, we can grab the two points at home. Of course we have to keep on working on our defense and our goalkeeper performance is also a big task for us to do. The other key part can be the fast breaks.

 

 

Dejan Manaskov: Kiel is Kiel. They are one of the best teams in the competition. They are not playing the way as they usually do but we still have to prepare and give 100%. If we do our job well and play as we did in the last rounds we can win. Kiel is not playing as they used to, they are out of luck but they can still come around and we have to be prepared for it.
