Veszprém – Celje pregame statements

 

Our headcoach and players stated their expectations about our Champions League game against Celje.

 

Ljubomir Vranjes: I think we are in a good position to get the second place. We need to have a really good game to win against Celje. I expect that we are going to get a very nice support at home from our fans over the weekend. We have earned this position and now we have to finish well the group phase.

 

 

Ligetvári Patrik: We have to concentrate well because this is our last game in the group phase that we would like to finish with a victory on home court. It is important for us to get the 2 points against Celje, because we would like to continue our run in the eight-finals from the 2nd place of the group. We have to be disciplined and precise throughout the whole game because if not then it can backfire on us.

 

 

Dejan Manaskov: It is an important game for us and we have to win it. We are the favorites of this game and we play at home. Celje is not a bad team, they are young, but if we want to go to the Final4, we have to win. We have to play as we did in the last two games against Brest and Flensburg. If play like that, we will not have a problem.

 

 

Petar Nenadic: It is very important for us to win, to be able to secure the second place of the group. It is clear for us. We would like to be the favorites of the eight-finals and quarterfinals so we can have the second game at home. We know that it is an important game. Celje is a good team, but they are young with not so much experience, however they fight for 60 minutes. We are playing at our home so we have to reach our goals and take the two points.
