Vardar - Veszprém pregame statements

The MKB-MVM Veszprém will play its last regular season match in the SEHA League in Skopje against Vardar on Saturday. In connection with this match Coach Carlos Ortega and our team’s leading scorer Momir Ilic were asked.

 

 

Carlos Ortega, MKB-MVM Veszprém’s head coach:

This will be again an interesting match: the first against the second, the best two teams of this SEHA League season. The points are not important for the teams anymore because we are first and they are the second surely. The Vardar – Veszprém matches are always very good. We will see, maybe now rather the best 16 matches of Champions League are in the players’ minds, but anyway I guess both teams want to win and this will be an interesting match for the fans, this is no question.

 

 

Momir Ilic, MKB-MVM Veszprém’s left back:

This will be the last match before the Final Four. We are already first, but we will go there to fight, because every match is a good challenge for us, so we will try to bring our best and win this game. Of course the Vardar is a good team and they are going to play at home in front of their fans. This will be the fourth clash of these two teams in the season. We could win all of our three matches so far, so I hope this will happen this time again.
