The bronz medalist of the previous season, Paris Saint-Germain pays a visit to Veszprém on Thursday evening. The game is going to be broadcasted by Sport 1.

The two teams have faced each other 12 times in the past: PSG won 7 times, Veszprém won 4 times, and one of their battles ended in a draw.

In their last game in Veszprém Paris Saint-Germain picked up a 29-24 victory in 2017, and the two most prolific goalscorers of the home team were Momir Ilic (7) and Máté Lékai (8).  

There weren’t many changes in the roster of PSG this summer: Sadou N’Tanzi returned from a loan spell in Toulouse, while Dylan Nahi and Villan Moros left the club. However, the results keep coming: Raúl González’s team won all of their friendly games in the summer (Créteil, Skjern, Chartres, Dunkerque), and started the season with a 34-25 victory over Istres Provence in the Liqui Moly Starligue.

Paris Saint-Germain gave four players to the olympic gold winner French national team: Nedim Remili, Luka Karabatic, Vincent Gérard and Yann Genty. Veszprém also has an olympic champion is its roster, none other than Kentin Mahé.

Telekom Veszprém has started the season pretty well too: Momir Ilic’s team first won the SEHA league final four in Zadar, Croatia, and then kicked off the domestic season with two comfortable wins agains Komló and Csurgó.
