Motor has signed four new players in the summer and had three departing. Jonas Truchanovicius (Montpellier), Oleksandr Tilte (Glogów), Luka Sebetic (Tremblay-en-France) and Denis Vasilev (C’Chartres) have joined the club, Taras Minotskyi (Tarnów) and Milos Orbovic (Luzern) have left, while Maxim Babichev and Pavlo Gurkovsky have retired.
Zaporozhye is on top of the table in the Ukranian league after winning all five of their games. They had three games where they scored more than 50 goals while conceding less than 20.
Motor is 7th in Group B with 2 wins and 4 defeats. Gintaras Savukynas’ side has defeated Porto (30-27) and Dinamo Bucharest (28-27), but lost to Barca (25-36), Kielce (25-26), PSG (32-40) and Flensburg (27-34).
Telekom Veszprém is also undefeated in the domestic league with 7 wins and 1 draw so far. Momir Ilic’s side have collected 8 points in 6 games in the EHF Champions League: they have defeated PSG (34-31), Barca (29-28), Porto (30-23) and Flensburg (28-23), but lost to Kielce (29-32) and Bucharest (29-31).
A last time these two teams have met was in the semi-final of SEHA League in September: Telekom Veszprém has won 36-29 in Zadar. The top scorer of that game was Gasper Marguc with 9 goals.
