Ljubomir Vranjes: Congratulations to Kiel. I think it is a deserved win. We did not play good enough in the first half to win here. I was not satisfied with our defense and attack either in that period. They got a lot of easy goals when we made easy mistakes in the attack. That was the big difference, the 5 goals in the first half. You can manage it, yes, we almost did but it is difficult to do that here. We had a good second half, only 8 goals for Kiel. It is not every day that Kiel shoots only 8 goals in a half in this arena. I really missed this in the first half, what we did in the second. We did not have it. I think we were not so much prepared from the first minute like in thevsecond half that is why we lost today. Of course, the last 15 minutes we had good chances and did not score, one on one with the goalkeeper. That is also important to do when you play here to win 2 point. I think we can take the next step, we saw also that we had problem with the timing in the game in the first half and in the second half also with Nenadic. Overall, it was nice to have such a tough game for us from the start and we know that we have to step up to be able to win games like these.

 

Gasper Marguc: We started with too many easy mistakes and they were running and scored easy goals. In the first half from 12:9 it was 14:9 and we did not finish how we wanted. In the second period, we came together with really good defense but when it came to equalizing, I think we had 2-3 chances for that, we did not score. At the end it cost us this bad result.

 

 

Alfred Gislason: We knew we would have to play very good to win this game. I was really concerned about the defense because we only had 2 players to play in the middle. Our defense was great today and also had good goalkeeping. Both Landin and Wolff were great. In attack we were happy to lead with 5 goals in the half, because Veszprém is a fantastic and experienced team but we knew that we have to play extremely well in the second half. We also had problems, lost our line but we caught back with good defense and goalkeeping. I am happy to have both points.

 

Sebastian Firnhaber: It was a great fight today. We were very prepared for the game but we knew it is going to be difficult because Veszprém is a big team and we have some injuries. We got very good support from the fans. It was a great game. In the second half when it became a bit tight we came back and it was as good performance from us.
