Máté Lékai (26), playmaker of the Hungarian national handball team and the MKB-MVM Veszprem, liked especially the brilliant performance of two goalkeepers of the female EB team: the experienced Éva Kiss and the 20 -year-old Blanka Bíró. He thinks that they were the ones who could galvanize life into the others in the critical situations. The player, who gave an interview to the Telekom Sport News, also mentioned the unexpected throw of the Dane.
"Among the men teams of the Champions League the Chekhovskie Medvedi uses often the attack-combination 7 against 6 and they can cause also a serious trouble in the rival team. We didn't search the antidote for this trickery but since there are followers of the Russians already we have to deal with this next year."
Máté Lékai also believes that the so far women's-like handball begins to prevail in hard - sometimes almost harsh - game, but he thinks this can’t be generalized.
"After the usual show off of strength, in case of long games with serious stake, around the end of the game the number of suspensions and yellow cards grows always. The players can't concentrate perfectly anymore, they miss the rhythm of intervention that is why they try to stop the offensive players with pull-backs or hits. The question is always what the referee's response for this. On the Serbia - Montenegro female CL match I would have give three red card already in the first half, but they gave the first card only in the second half of the game."
Lékai (who came back from the Slovenian Celje) had to miss more than two months because of his knee injury. This is even longer than as he had his previous injury. His return was a day of celebration for him and now he calls it as the most beautiful Christmas gift of the year.
"Unfortunately I could only play seven matches while my teammates played twenty. But now I can say that the time of rest will be good for me. During my holiday I can strengthen myself and my knee" - emphasized the player who has to wear a protector on his knee for medical prescription on the next matches of this year. - "This will be probably the hardest half-year of the club's history, as our goal is to win the Champions League and also the SHEA League while we want to get the to the first place in the Hungarian Cup and the home championship. And in the first half of this same year we also have to fight for the participation in the European Championship, 2016.” - said Máté Lékai in conclusion who will show his talent to Talant Dujsebajev head coach of national team "live" on the 23th of December on a match against Egypt.
