The devil never sleeps – he should though

Watching the other matches of the quarter final was really great from various aspects. As it turned out, there is no such an outstanding team like MVM Veszprém. According to the statistics, Veszprém got the least amount of scores. This was well proved in the game against Vardar Skopje. The team of Schuch Timuzsin was amazing at swinging the back players but Alilovic managed to ‘inactivate’ their shots. This brilliant strategy resulted in many easy goals in the arena of Skopje.

 

The three-goal advantage reached in an away match is a great success. Not to mention the outstanding individual achievements. The most important of which is that Aron Palmarsson is getting closer to his incredible performance gave in Kiel. He causes troubles to his opponents by his fantastic goals and passes. Momir Ilic is also getting better and his game is promising especially this phase of the season.

 

There are still sixty minutes left. Veszprém is facing the last step to get to Final4 in Cologne third time in a row. The devil never sleeps. He should though. Handball is sometimes unpredictable and the results change fast. The team of Árpád Sterbik is a good example. They have proved their abilities in our arena. They have players who can be even better in an away game than on home court. Gorbok and Maqueda, for instance.

 

Every match is different. This one will be different as well. The players have the burden of the risk. There is one thing that won’t change. The support of Europe’s best handball fans. This gives strength to the players.

 

We shall not be so sentimental, though. MVM Veszprém has an extremely strong squad. Unlike the previous seasons, they overtake their opponents only in the end. This proves their mental ability. That is why the qualification to the Champions League Final4 is an attainable aim.

What is more, this is what we expect. But we will see how the story goes on only in Cologne.
