David Davis: Thank you for Dabas for agreeing to play this game today. It was important because it is hard to assemble the calendar well. We understand that they are still in the preseason so a huge thanks to them. It was important to play several matches now, to have more space later on in the season. About the match, we have a lot of respect for Dabas. They are a good team, and they were in the Final4 of the Cup. We want to be in the best form for the SEHA League and Champions League as well. We could play 6-0 and 5-1 in defense. I am satisfied with the performance of the players. It was Vladimir Cupara’s first official game and he was in a really good shape. This is what we expect from him, because we know that he can do this. I have confidence that he will do more matches like this.
Vladimir Cupara: We played a good game, and it is very important to win the first game of the season. It is a huge honor to play in Veszprém Arena and I enjoyed every second of the game. Thank you for Dabas for the fair game and good luck to them for the rest of the season.
Győző Tomori: Congratulations to Veszprém. Although they played with a preseason form, their victory was never in danger. We know right from the start, that this game will be like this. We wanted to make their job harder, because a little confidence boost would have been good here in the beginning of the season. I am a bit angry, because I expected a bit more toughness from my players. The season will start for us next week on home court against Mezőkövesd. Good luck to Veszprém.
Bence Zakics: First, congratulations to Veszprém. They are a good team and this difference is real between the two teams. They are not the real opponents of us. We have a lot of injured players, and we hope that they can come back soon. The next game is very important for us against Mezőkövesd, and we are concentrating ont hat fully. Good luck for Veszprém this season.
