Telekom Veszprém hosted Csurgói KK in the Veszprém Aréna. The guests started the game, but after Székely’s save Lauge scored the first goal. After two fast Veszprém goal Csurgó took a timeout in the 5. minute at 3-0. Blagotinsek and Yahia scored and the home team ran away easily by 5 goals. For the 10. minute Veszprém built a big advantage, the result was 8-1. The guests suffered to score a goal, they scored only 3 goals in the first 15 minute. Moraes came to the court and scored nice goal right away. The home team led nice plays and scored from almost every attack. After a Székely save Gajic missed a penalty (21. min 14-5). Nenadic missed an empty net shot, but Strlek did not so the advantage increased to 10 goals in the 26. minute (17-7). The first half ended with another big Székely save.
 
The second half started with Gajic’s penalty, then he scored from the wing. Székely saved a penalty, Blagotinsek scored with left hand. Veszprém scored mostly from the wing, while Csurgó tried to score in the middle with little success. Csurgó could not score from two men advantage, but Strlek scored on the other side. Székely kept his good performance and the distance was 15 goals in the middle of the second half (28-13). Ten minutes before the end Borozan scored the 30. Veszprém goal. The home defense and offense worked very well in this match. The home advantage grew continuously and it stopped at 16 to the end.
 

David Davis: We had a lot of respect, as Csurgó is a very good team. We prepared for this game the best way possible and we focused on the defense. Today we were playing very well and I am satisfied with the players.
 
Rogerio Moraes: We are happy, we prepared very well and hosted them with big respect. They have good players I wish them good luck. We had a really good defense and Székely was also good in the goal. We won the game in the first half and in the second, we could keep our good performance.
 

Baranyai Norbert: During this game, we saw how a top European team plays. Unfortunately, we could not get close to Veszprém. We were hoping that we would be able to play a better game, but the defense of Veszprém was very good. Our defense was not working so well and we missed a lot of opportunities to score more goals.
 
Péter Pallag: Congratulation to Veszprém, they were better in every part of the game, well deserved their victory. They scored goal whenever they wanted. We had two bad games. Now we have to show our character because very important games are coming.
