Xavi Sabaté: First of all congratulations to Silkeborg, they played very well. It was a hard match for us just as we expected. Silkeborg is getting better and better and they did not even reach their full potential. They have a lot of great players who are not so well known but the name does not matter here, only the performance on the court. We missed some important players due to injury but this is handball. We had problems in defense, but fortunately we could score easy fastbreak goals. It was very important that Máté Lékai and Chema Rodríguez played well and brought a lot to our teamplay. In the second half we controlled the match but we had 5-6 minutes of blackout where the Danish goalkeeper saved many shots and we let them score easy goals. We have to learn from that and we can control these kind of situations in the future. Momir Ilic was very powerful today and László Nagy showed again he is a true leader of our team. Both of their performances were supported a lot by Lékai’s and Chema’s great performance. I would like to thank our great supporters, they pushed us even in the harder times. As I have said before, together we are stronger.
Mirko Alilovic: First of all I would like to congratulate the Silkeborg team. They haven’t given up the match when we were leading by 6-7 goals and their team hasn’t lose faith today. They have played a close match with us especially in the last 5 minutes. Our fans stood next to us. Thanks for that, because during the last games they could have expect victories by 10 goals from our team. It is not easy to win every game by lot of goals in today handball. We also have got some injured players like Sulic or Palmarson. If you have injured players that is the thing that every team can perceives. As the coach said we must to learn not give the match away in a leading period. Our team always fights and we could show it today as well. We could show the unit which types us. Both of the two teams could win today. But in the last 2 minutes we could decide the match.
Peter Bredsdorff-Larsen: First of all congratulations to Veszprém, they deserved the win. We knew that we are playing in the hardest Arena in the world. We are satisfied with our performance. Not so much with the first half than the second. We got closer and closer to the home team, so naturally we are unhappy about not getting a point.
Johan Hansen: As the coach said it was not successful to win today and we couldn’t earn the 2 points. In the first halftime we were not playing very well but in the 2nd half we have stand together better and we could gain new spirit and we could make fast break goals. We were running a lot in the 2nd part of the game. It was very difficult to play against one of the best teams in Europe. It was a big pleasure for us to play in this arena with such a great atmosphere.
