Szeged – Veszprém pregame statements

 

The second leg of the K&H League final will be played on Sunday at 6:00 p.m., where Telekom Veszprém arrives with an eleven-goal lead against MOL-Pick Szeged. We asked the opinion and expectation of our head coach and players about the last game of the Hungarian championship.

 

David Davis: As I said previously, we want to win both matches, so we do not have to think about the game yesterday. We planned to play and win two matches in the championship final. We will try to prepare for Sunday’s game as best as we can today and tomorrow, but it is hard to win there, nobody could do it so far this year. We owe a victory to ourselves in Szeged, and of course to our supporters as well.

 

 

László Nagy: I am sure that the second leg will be a tense one; it was palpable in the first game in Veszprém as well. I think that we only have to concentrate on ourselves, that is the most important, and to give ourselves on Sunday. That discipline that we showed on Thursday has to be kept up on the next game as well. The most important will our defense and goalkeeper performance, which was really good in the second half fortunately. In offense, we have to maximize the scoring on our chances. Every ball will have a lot of importance and role.

 

 

Andreas Nilsson: I expect a hard second leg. They are going to fight and try to beat us with a lot of goals, so we have to focus like we did in the last game. In sixty minutes anything can happen and we have experience in this, when we lost by nine goals. Really anything can happen. We do not want to make this mistake again. We will fight and we will try to win the game.

 

 

Dragan Gajic: I think that the most difficult opponent is a hurt one. They are hurt in their pride and emotions, that is why they are the most dangerous opponent to play against. I am sure they will start the game with full tempo and full motivation. Of course, have to look at ourselves, to play our game and not to protect the lead, but go there to win. Our goal is to be the first team that wins in Szeged this year.
