The group round of the European Championship in Poland is over. On Tuesday, in Group “A” Macedonia and Serbia having no points ended the game with a draw and because of the goal differences, the Macedonian team qualified. Fans had been expecting a big fight for the group winning but the Polish team gained a confident 6-goal victory over title-defender France.

The matches of Group “B” also had been expected to be exciting since all of the teams started the last round with equal amount of points. Norway defeated Belarus with 2 goals, while Croatia gained a 9-goal victory against Iceland. In the team of our Southern neighbour country Alilovic ended up with 10 savings (32% effectiveness), while Sliskovic scored 2 goals. On the other side, Aron Palmarsson did not score during the game.

The matches of the other groups will be held on Wednesday. In Group “C” Germany defeated Slovenia with 4 goals (Gasper Marguc scored 2 goals) which led to the Slovenian team’s drop out. Spain overtook Sweden with 2 goals and has become group winner. Cristian Ugalde did not score during the match; Andreas Nilsson, on the other hand, scored twice.

Finally, let us take a look at the matches of Group “D”, including the team of Hungary. The Russia-Montenegro match was held first and the victory of the Russian team led to the main round qualification of Hungary and the drop out of Montenegro. Since former runner-up Danish team gained an 8-goal victory over Hungary, we are going to start the next round without any points. Out of the players of Veszprém, Schuch Timuzsin, Gergő Iváncsik and László Nagy gained 1-1 goal; while Roland Mikler ended with 5 savings.
