This Saturday, at 3:15 PM MVM Veszprém is hosting THW Kiel in the Champions League. Sport1 provides live broadcast. We made an interview with Coach Xavier Sabaté and our three former Kiel players: Christian Zeitz, Momir Ilic and Aron Palmarsson relating to the upcoming game of “A” group.
Xavier Sabaté: Kiel is a great team and always improving. Jicha was one of their key players and although he left the team, Coach Gislason will find the best way to replace him. Last weekend we saw THW Kiel performing great. They had a confident victory even though defeating them is especially hard. Our team has to perform well this Saturday, especially in offence. We must not lose balls and help them score. Landin and Katsigiannis are two excellent goalkeepers of theirs, so we have to concentrate on our offences.

Christian Zeitz: I think we are facing an extremely hard game. Although THW Kiel was defeated by Rhein-Neckar Löwen, they managed to win in Plock last weekend with 14 goals which is a remarkable achievement. The upcoming match will be difficult for many reasons; we have to give 100% performance. Landin got injured but he is fine now. He’s not the only talented player, but their other goalkeeper as well. Their game tends to be dangerous, they can score easily. We have to keep it in mind.
Momir Ilic: I’m really looking forward to playing with Kiel. Playing against them definitely will be a hard match as usual. At the beginning of the season they had some troubles but now I think they are in good form again. They could find the solutions for their problems and they have had great achievements. I’m sure we’ll have to fight hard.
Aron Palmarsson: I’m excited about the upcoming game against my former team. The team of Kiel was suffering a bit at the beginning of the season but we saw how great they played in Plock last weekend. We are aware of how strong they are. THW Kiel is always THW Kiel. They will always be considered to be one of the best teams. Although we gained two points last weekend, we can’t let ourselves play like that against the German champion. We are going to play on home court so we have to perform even better if we want to win this Saturday.
