Statements before SEHA Final4

Telekom Veszprém would like to win the SEHA League third time in a row in Brest, Belarus during this weekend. Our team will play the semi-final against the home team on Friday at 8:00 pm (Hungarian time) than step oon the court for the bronze or gold medal on Sunday. All the four games of Final4 will be broadcasted live by Digi Sport 1. During the preparation we asked our head coach Xavi Sabaté, team captain László Nagy and one of our top form goalkeepers Mirko Alilovic.

 

 

Xavi Sabaté: I think it will be an amazing SEHA League Final4 with four very good teams. All of them played in the best 16 of the Champions League. I think it shows how strong this Final4 will be. I am sure that all matches will be wonderful for the supporters and it will be 3 amazing days for the spectators who go there to support their team. There will be a high level of handball.

 

 

László Nagy: There will be four very good teams who played in the Champions League knockout stage so I think it will be one of the best SEHA Final4s ever. Of course our goal is to win the competition but we know that Vardar, Brest and Zagreb can also win this title. We have good feelings right now. We almost have no injured players and that is very important. The semi-final against Brest will be a very hard and intensive game. It is never easy to play against a team that plays at home so we have to give our best handball to beat them.

 

 

Mirko Alilovic: Our expectation is to defend the title of course. We had some trouble in the beginning of the season but we are playing much better now. It will be difficult because we are playing on the court of Meshkov. I think the semi-final will be just as difficult as the final will be if we qualify. We go there to give our best and play with a 100% for the title. If we play like we did in the last few games we have a chance to win it.
