Statements before Hungarian Cup Final4

On 14th of April, Friday the TIPPMIX Hungarian Cup Final4 in Debrecen begins. Telekom Veszprém will play against Csurgói KK in the semi-final at 2:45 pm, while Mol-Pick Szeged will clash to Grundfos Tatabánya for the final at 5:15 pm. On Saturday the bronze game will start at 11:45 am and the final at 2:15 pm. All the games of Final4 will be broadcasted live by M4 Sport.

 

Before the weekend in Debrecen our head coach and team captain gave the following statements:

 

 

Xavi Sabaté: We will fight for the title, Veszprém is a team that always has to fight to win titles. The first step is to beat Csurgó. We are the favorites but as always we respect our opponent. We would like to beat them and arrive in the final in the best condition possible. Our ultimate goal is to win the title. When you play 2 games in 24 hours the most important thing is the physical condition of the players. We will try to arrive the best way possible to win the match and to arrive to the final in the best conditions. The final will be a tough match, for sure.

 

 

László Nagy: Of course, we would like to defend our title but we know that first we have to win against Csurgó in the semi-final. I think we have to concentrate on ourselves and bring the positive aspects from the last few games and perform even better. The key will be our defense and the goalkeeper’s performance and from which we will be able to lead fastbreaks and score easy goals. It is obvious that we are not trusting individuals but the whole team to win this Cup. We hope that a lot of supporters will come to Debrecen just as they did in the last years.
