Statements after the draw of CL Final4

Yesterday the draw of VELUX EHF Champions League Final4 happened. Telekom Veszprém is going to face with PSG Handball at 3:15 pm on 3rd of June while in the other semifinal HC Vardar and FC Barcelona Lassa is going to play against each other. We asked three players of our team about the result of draw.

 

 

Gergő Iváncsik: I do not think that there is a team that anybody wished to play with. The best four teams qualified for this tournament and there is no easy opponent in this stage of the series. Of course, we had some guesses inside the team concerning who we would get, and I was amongst those players who guessed PSG and it came true. I think the atmosphere and the circumstances will be the same as in the last years. One game will determine whether we play for the final or not but first we have to concentrate on Paris and prepare well for them. The game against Montpellier was good because we in the most of our games in this season we were good rather in the first half and then we declined for the second. Now it was the other way around which was a little bit surprising for us too. Fortunately we did not stay in the locker room, we found ourselves and got the job done in the second half how it supposed to be.

 

 

Cristian Ugalde: I did not have any whishes before the draw. I think we arrive among the best teams although we lost against the other three unfortunately. Because of this we now have one chance. We are improving in every game after the Christmas break. We are in good form and I think we can beat them. We lost here with one goal against Paris, and lost there but we played well. We can beat them like we did in the last two years in the quarter-finals. This game will be more important than the lost ones in November.

 

 

Dragan Gajic: Ma first thought after draw was: again a French team. We put one French team behind and now we face another one. Personally I did not have any wishes concerning to which team I would like to play against. We did not beat any of these teams this season so now I think it is time to win. We have to win against Paris and after that one more win in the Final and that is it (laugh).
