Statement of Árpád Sterbik about our game against Nantes

 

Árpád Sterbik stood in the net for the whole 60 minutes last night against Nantes in the Eurotournoi. He finished the game with 18 saves and an outstanding 43%. He told us how he saw the game from the inside.

 

"I skipped the games against Balatonfüred and Tatabánya. I was looking forward to get in better physical shape and to be able to play again. The defense was great in front of me, and that is the most important thing. The result in a preparation tournament is secondary to me. If we play well, the results will come eventually. For me, it is important now to integrate well to the team, and to see how the defense moves in front of me. I hope this tournament comes in handy for us, in terms of things that we are missing or to see which constellation works in defense. This will be useful for us this season. There were balls that I should have saved, and I had luck on my side in some situations. The most important thing is to create a proper base for the team with defense and goalkeeping."
