Telekom Veszprém will face Sporting CP in the best 16 of the VELUX EHF Champions League on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. Hungarian time. We asked the opinion of our head coach and players about the knockout clash.
David Davis: Sporting has a great team with very good players. They fought hard at home, and played even better in away against Bucharest. I think their style of play matches ours well, so I am waiting for these two clashes positively. We are going to Lisbon to win, and then, we would like to win at home as well.
Roland Mikler: I am waiting for this game very much. I wish that we could play well in Portugal bringing a great performance and a confidence and return home with a victory. It would we very important for the team to get back to the positive wave after the loss against Szeged and to be able to play confidently again.

Máté Lékai: We did not have time to think about the loss against Szeged, because the Champions League is here and this is the knockout stage starting. From now on, we cannot lose any games if we would like to achieve our goals. We do not want to repeat last year again in the best 16 so we will need total concentration, total discipline and good performance on Sunday. I know a few of their players, Ruesga played here for example, but there are some from Plock and from many European teams. Sporting is a great team and achieved a many successes in a row, while their Supporters are fanatics and they are looking forward to this game as well. I hope that a lot of Hungarians can come as well, because they always come with us no matter where we play and we will need their support a lot.

Dragan Gajic: I hope that we could learn a lot from last year. I have seen Sporting play a few times and I have to say, they will not be an easy opponent. They are a good team. We have respect for them and we are aware that we will face a tough game in away. Their Fans make a great atmosphere because football fans usually go out to the games as well. I am sure it will be a huge challenge for us. Despite the respect, we have to be confident because we are a great team as well. Regardless of the loss against Szeged, we are in a good form, and I expect a very good clash on Sunday.
