Telekom Veszprém visited Sport36-Komló in the K&H League today. Markovic scored the first goal of the game from penalty against Mikler. Then the visitors scored 3 goals in a row in the next minutes (5th min.: 1:3). The result of the next few minutes was the same, 1:3, when the home head coach Kilvinger Bálint called a time out at 2:6 in the 8th minute. Then Markovic, Terzic, Obradovic and Ilic answered each other’s goals making the result 4:8 for the end of the 12th minute. The teams arrived to the middle of the first half at 5:9 result, then Marguc scored an easy fast-break goal. In the 17th minute, the young right back of “Építők” Lev Szuharev stepped on the court. One minute later Marguc scored his 6th goal then the 7th one from a penalty (5:12). In the 23rd minute Marguc was successful again then Szuharev got a 2-minute suspension (6:15). 5 minutes later Markovic scored then Marguc had his 10th goal (5 from penalty) and made the result to 8:17. At that time the young pivot Bence Szűcs joined to the six-wall defense of Veszprém but he quickly got a suspension. The result of the first half became 9:17.

 

The second half started with save of Mikler and goal of Gajic then Obradovic scored a nice goal. In the end of 35th minute Nagy scored and the visitors were leading for 10:19. Then 2 goals from Manojlovity were coming but Ilic answered with a huge shot (38th min.: 12:20). 5 minutes later Mahé scored his first goal then the goal of Nagy meant the 10-goal difference (15th min.: 13:23). In the beginning of 48th minute Nenadic scored a nice kempa goal. Then another nice play was coming, Nenadic had a beautiful assist to Nilsson. On the other side Petricevic could score in the 20th minute (16:26). Two minutes later Mikler showed two huge parades. In the 25th minute Manaskov candidate to the most beautiful goal competition (16:29). Mikler had saves after each other and was getting close to the 50% saving percentage. The final result was 17:31 for Telekom Veszprém.

 

 

 

David Davis: Everybody know that we have our goals and we are in the most important part of the season. We want to play the best handball we can. We showed today that we are turning better and we can perform as best as we can. The most important is that the team has the rhythm of playing and training. We started working together in October, every match is important, and we use it to improve ourselves.

 

Gasper Marguc: Players wanted to give their best today. We may have harder games in away in the league but today we wanted to start hard and keep the game in our hands for 60 minutes.

 

 

Bálint Kilvinger: Congratulations to Veszprém, we knew that it is not going to be an easy game for us. We made some easy mistakes, from which we conceded easy goals. It is important to capitalize on clear shots in a match like this. Of course, we fought but we made mistakes. Now we have some time to rest for the last part of the season, where we will have important games. Good to Veszprém from now on.

 

Stefán Sunajko: Congratulations to Veszprém. We could stand our ground well, if you can stand it well against a team like them. I am happy for the opportunity to play, I think I could live with it. Thanks to our fan show came out today in a great number.
