Spartak – Veszprém pregame statements

 

On Tuesday at 18:45, Spartak Moscow will host Telekom Veszprém in the SEHA – Gazprom Lague. We asked our head coach and players about their expectations before the game.

 

Péter Gulyás: I expect my team to play freely on Tuesday. The kids will play in the SEHA League for the first time, which is a huge opportunity for them to improve. We expect them to give everything and that they would like to achieve something in handball. We have a hard task ahead of us, as we did not have time to prepare, mostly because of travelling, but we, the coaches, are trying to give them as much knowledge as possible. I hope that they will do everything on the court, and give the best they have; if so, there is a possibility of a great result. Spartak is a good team, with well-known names, who already put something down the table. For example, Aflitulin played here in Veszprém, and Dereven in Vardar. I think that it is a good possibility for the youngsters to show that they are here, and to count on them in the long run.

 

 

Borut Mackovsek: I do not really know Spartak that well. I know some players, who played in Vardar so they have a good team. It is going to be hard, as from the first team it is going to be Márton Székely and myself. We do not go there to see Moscow, we want to win. We will do our best to go there and win the game.

 

 

Borisz Dörnyei: I am sure that it will be a tough game, as we could not really prepare for it. We played a second division game on Saturday. We will have a training on Tuesday, where we will get through the plays one more time and prepare as best as we can. Everyone would like to show what he can do, and would like to perform well. We know that this game will be televised so all of us will do their best. We will fight on the court.

 

 

Bence Hornyák: I expect a fierce game, because we are not the favorites with this young team. We would like to make Spartak’s job tougher. We are happy for the opportunity to go to Moscow and we would like to thank the trust that is given to us by the board of the Club. I hope that we can play a good game.
