Telekom Veszprem brings a unique service to its supporters for the 2017/2018 season
A sport loving IT start-up in Hungary is developing a probably stand alone service in the world that is here to enhance the supporters’ match day experience on the home matches of Telekom Veszprem.
“Our start-up is developing the first ever interactive communication channel between the supporters and the players on the pitch, which avails the Telekom Veszprem fans in front of their television or screens via a mobile app to cheer on their favourite players during matches like they were there in person.” – summarised the service briefly one of developers. The main purpose of the Seyu service is to help those supporters who weren’t fortunate enough to get tickets for the Telekom Veszprem’s home encounters or just live too far from the arena to be there to root for the players in person.
Via the mobile application, which is available in Google.Play store, the distant fans can take pictures of themselves – selfies – or each other and they can attach personal messages to these images which will be subsequently displayed on the perimeter LED boards during the games.
The service is being developed in close co-operation with the experts of the record champion and the Gepber Szinpad Kft., the further two are in charge of the high quality operation of LED surfaces in the Veszprem arena. The Seyu app and its service, which is the abbreviation of ‘See You’ will firstly be available to Android users during the home matches of September. Don’t worry, iOS users will be able to send selfies with messages too from anywhere in the world to the players on the pitch in October, this year.
“We worked hard in the past moths on a well-worked out, user friendly and in the meantime reliable phone application at Seyu, however, we know that we have a few exciting sleepless, worked through nights ahead of us on the road to achieving our goal.” – shared his thoughts the CFO of the project. Based on the above the young developer team isn’t afraid of the hard work that’s required to provide a flawless and entertaining service to the handball lovers in Veszprem. In the same time, the developers are asking for patience from the users if they bump into technical difficulties during the service. “As we are talking about a BETA version of the application some unexpected technical issues could surface during service. This is why we would like to ask the Veszprem fans who try the app to share their ideas, thoughts and experiences of the service with us via the
[email protected] and be part of the development process too.” – another team member filled us in on the development stage of the project.
Seyu will be available for the first time ever to the public on the Telekom Veszprem – Gyöngyös Hungarian championship game on this evening, which starts at 18:00 (HUN). The Seyu is already downloadable from the Google.Play store at the time when this article is being published, however the submission of selfies will only be open three hours before the match starts until the beginning of the encounter. More information regarding Seyu will be shared by the club on the club’s Facebook channel.
Seyu guide
The users after the downloading of the app can register for the service of Seyu with their social media account. After the successful registration the users have option to take photos and choose from numerous motivating messages. In the next step they can decide if they would like to share the created display in the arena and/or their social media page. Because of the limitation on the number of displays in the arena, the maximum number of requests that could be displayed will be randomly selected from the submitted photos. Of course, the lucky submissions will only be displayed after they went through the wetting process and deemed suitable. The submission of these requests will be available before few hours of the events.
IMPORTANT information! The images wished to be displayed cannot contain brand display that qualifies as advertisement or alcoholic beverages.
