SBS Eger - Telekom Veszprém 28-36

SBS Eger hosted Telekom Veszprém in K&H Leauge. Started with the Yahia, Maqueda, Nilsson, Lauge, Strlek team, we changed Sipos to Lékai in attack. The first goal of the match was for Eger. At the 8th minutes there were 6-3 lead to Eger so Momir Ilic took his first time-out. Veszprém’s game was getting more concentrated in this period so in the 15th minute Veszprém equalized. 7-7. There were one goal for Eger, one for Veszprém and in the 18. min Veszprém took the lead. Youngsters came in the game. Lukács, Ilic, Dörnyei, Mahé, Ligetvári, Blagotinsek onto the cort. After 2 goal leads Eger took his first time. The rest of the half there were faster game with more dinamic play, but there were also some mistakes in defence. 15-17.

 

The second half started, Lauge and Nilsson ont he cort with the youngsters. We changed Sipos to Dörnyei in attack. There were fast and dinamic play with a lot of mistakes. 17-22. Ligetvári step on the cort. 20-25. After an Ilic Zoran and Péter Lukács shoot, it was 22-28. Rodrigo corrales closed the gaps, and it was 22-30 and Eger’s time-out. After 22-30 Veszprém took some mistakes, at 26-32 Momir Ilic took his second time-out. At the last 5 minutes Eger fight better, but Veszprém took the 2 points.

Momir Ilic: - Good evening to everybody. After our match against Motor Zapozohye I wanted to see some development in each segment of our game and I wanted to give long period for the youngsters. I am satisfied with my youngsters but not even with my professional players. We have to concentrate more, we have to play better because on our match next Thursday the team which do everything for success will win. Congrats for the Eger team and good luck to them.
 
Ilic Zoran:- First of all congrats to the Eger team, we started the match in a bad manner but we could fix it at the second half. We could make advances so we collected the 2 points which we were coming for.
 
 
Edmond Tóth:- Congrats for the Veszprém team. Our goal was to serve our fans with our fight, with our spirit beacuse this is our obligation. Our team I think they did everything in game. Veszprém lead with a lot of goals and we didn’t stop. I am satisfied with it. There were too many lost balls and easy goal for Veszprém, but It was okay.   
 
Tibor Balogh:- Last week we preapared for this match as we knew we aren’t the favourits. We wanted to be in close and give 100%. We are going to preapare for our next game against Gyöngyös. If we play on this level we can win.
