RK Nexe - Telekom Veszprém 33-35

Nexe started the match with rapid fastbreaks and for a short period, the two teams went head-to-head. Veszprém gained a two-goal advantage for the first time in the match, when Adrián Sípos made two crucial blocks. 5-7. Veszprém continued with several missed chances and misplaced passes as Nexe came back from behind to make it 13-10. Momir Ilic used his first time-out. This bad period went on until 17-13, when Gasper Marguc scored a vital goal and Veszprém started climbing back. In this period the team played exceptionally well; the boys dug in and fought hard. The goals of Andreas Nilsson, Gasper Marguc, Adrián Sípos helped finish the first half with a four-goal advantage. Half Time: 18-22.

 

In the second half Patrik Ligetvári started in offense and Veszprém kept RK Nexe at a consistent 2-3 goal disadvantage. Next came the incredible moments of Cupara however, due to a couple of technical mistakes we couldn't increase our advantage, rather RK Nexe made it 29-28.
In the last period of the match, Veszprém kept calm and played much better; Cupara's crucial saves and the composure of Gasper Marguc in front of goal, helped Veszprém hold on to their two-goal advantage and win the match. Full time: 33-35.
