Rasmus Lauge is the new team captain of Telekom Veszprém

The team captain of Telekom Veszprém for the upcoming 2021/22 season is Rasmus Lauge, the vice-captains are Máté Lékai and Andreas Nilsson. Appointed by our head coach, Momir Ilic, the new team captain follows in the footsteps of club legends such as, - of course, a non-exhaustive list – István Csoknyai, Dejan Peric or László Nagy to name a few. This is a great 
responsibility, requiring a constant accountability on behalf of the team and the club’s goals.

 

According to our captain, Rasmus Lauge, it is a great joy and honour to be named a leader of the team. We asked about his new appointment, the upcoming challenges and his role within the team.

For me, being the captain of Telekom Veszprém, is a great joy and honour; this is a huge milestone in my Veszprém career. The last time we spoke, my personality came up, how I view myself and I mentioned how I want to lead by example, with my attitude and determination. I am delighted, that now I can do all these things as team captain.

Now comes the first, most important step for me, our first step if you like; which is making my comeback to the pitch. I don’t plan to change anything about myself. I only want to help the team, with an extra dose of motivation, to get back on the right path, back to winning ways.
