PSG – Veszprém pregame statements

Telekom Veszprém has to wait only one week to take revenge on PSG Handball after the home loss. The two teams are going to clash with each other this Sunday at 5 PM. The VELUX EHF Champions League game will be broadcasted live by Sport1. We asked our head coach and team captain about their expectations for this upcoming match.

 

 

Xavi Sabaté: We are going to play away against a team whose great performance we could experience here in Veszprém Arena as well. We will go to Paris to beat them there. It will be very difficult, but we are ready to bring our best in order the get the victory. In the last weeks our team became better and better and more confident. We could recover our injured players who are also getting better form. There is a very good atmosphere and the team continuously improves. We know there is a long way ahead of us and we also know the Paris is the favorite of the game this weekend but we will do everything for the success.

 

 

László Nagy: We played a very good game against a very good Paris. We know that we are not the favorites in the second leg but we are not going there with our hands above our heads. We will do our best to achieve a good result. I think that the team was waiting for this clash even before the first game, we were very motivated and we still are. Of course it would be good to get our injured or sick players back in the line-up but we can still go to Paris with a strongest team possible and we will do everything for the best result possible. We have to get better in switching from offense to defense. Paris is running constantly even after a goal and not just one man but all six. We have to avoid and deny getting these easy goals. We have to strengthen our defense in order to be able to help our goalkeepers more.
