PSG - Veszprém pregame statemenst

Gergő Iváncsik, Mirsad Terzic and Gasper Marguc shared their thoughts before the PSG Handball - MVM Veszprém Champions League game.

 

 

Gergő Iváncsik: We are playing for the current top spot of our group this Sunday. There is only a one-point difference between our team and Paris Saint-German and they are going to host us so it won’t be easy at all. Our injured players haven’t recovered yet but I think we are moving forward in each game; we can always reach better achievement. I hope we are able to perform even better in Paris. Although two key players of ours are injured, we won in the last important games because the others realized how serious this is and took the responsibility which resulted in great successes. Of course, the whole team is working hard and wants to be even more successful.

 

 

Mirsad Terzic: Playing against PSG will be extremely hard. When they play at home, they appear to have a different attitude, especially in the past few years. Their fast breaks are really fast so we mustn’t have to many turnovers. If we are capable of saving balls, and maintaining a precise offense method, we might have great chance to win in the end. It doesn’t matter that we are playing in Paris, we will do everything we can; I believe that this team is able to gain triumph. I think they basically focus on offence rather than defence. They want to accomplish their attacks as quick as they can. If we can stop them a bit, we might have one of the keys of victory.

 

 

Gasper Marguc: PSG has an excellent team; moreover they are playing at home this weekend. This time we have to fight for the group winning so we are facing a significant match. We will travel there to win, obviously. Karabatic and Hansen are in good form. They are currently the best players of their team; Karabatic is a real leader, while Hansen is their top scorer. Stopping them during the whole game is impossible but we might be able to hinder them with our defense – which works great, I think. It sure will be a difficult task but I think we can do it.
