2015. Aug. 07. Friday, 21:37
After the training camp of last week in Rogla and the trainings of this week in Veszprém, now the team can really start preparing for the 2015/16 season.
The players travelled to Germany early morning yesterday, where they are going to have a total of four matches. Now, they can improve their new tactics, and they play with their new teammates, Aron Pálmarsson and Ivan Sliskovic for the first time.
First, the Hungarian team played against MTG Wangen which consists of many young players. It is worth taking a look at their
comparison according to positions.
This is the 18th time that the team of Coach Ortega takes part in the Sparkassen Cup in Ehingen on Saturday and Sunday. In the last two years, “Építők” won this traditional cup twice in a row. It had been first organized in 1987 and had been called Schlecker, then EVFH Cup. 9-time winner of the tournament, THW Kiel is also participating. Therefore, the semi-final of the Champions League might occur again in the final.
In the group round on Saturday 11 AM, Romanian champion, Baia Mare will be the first opponent team where some of our former players play – Tamás Iváncsik, Uros Vilovski and Péter Tatai. From 7 PM, Veszprém is going to play against EHF Cup winner, Füchse Berlin, which had won the tournament in 2012.
Besides Kiel, our SEHA League semi-final opponent, PPD Zagreb got into the other group along with Frisch Auf! Göppingen which ended up in the fifth place in Bundesliga. Looking at the teams and their achievements, it is safe to say that this tournament is going to be really prestigious.
