Plock – Veszprém pre-game statements

Champions’ League continues on Saturday at 4PM for Telekom Veszprém. The Hungarian Champion visits Poland, where they will play against Wisla Plock. Live broadcast on Sport1. We asked head coach Xavi Sabaté and 3 other players about the match.

 

 

Xavi Sabaté: One can say that every match is really hard in this year’s Champions’ League. We will play against a really good team on Saturday in an arena, which has one of Europe’s best atmosphere and where the Plock fans cheer during the whole game for their team. A new coach and players are among the team. I believe that they are stronger than they were in last year. They play very well, they have a lot of tall and talented players and their defense is really good. We have to perform aright if we would like to win.

 

 

Máté Lékai: It is always hard to play against Wisla Plock especially away because they have a really good atmosphere in their Arena. Everybody remembers that we could only make a draw last year. We do not want to lose any points now and we want to win our first away match in the Champions’ League. We should not make mistakes because it can be said according to the Flensburg – Barcelona match that this group is very powerful and we need every point. It is sure that it will be hard to win against them.

 

 

Gábor Ancsin: Watching their matches it can be said that Plock is a very powerful team and that is why we expect a very hard game. We have to pay attention to our defense and we need to get back to our places as soon as possible not to get many goals from fast breaks. Strong defense, especially on home court, belongs to their characteristics and their goalkeeper’s performance is also extremely good. Moreover, their fans can help them to bring out their extra power.

 

 

Blaz Blagotinsek: Plock is a really good team with talented players on every post. Their fast breaks are very quick and efficient and their defense is also good. To win this game we have to defense well and score easy and quick goals from that. We also need to play as accurately as possible against their defense.
