Our preparation program

We have already mentioned some of our preparation programs of August and now let us take a look at certain dates and further information.

 

 

Our players have to be back to Veszprém from their holiday by June 25 since all of them are going to have physical tests. In order to have a good condition in these tests, the players have been preparing during their holiday with the help of the training program given by the trainer staff. Different programs applied to those who took part in the matches of the national team in June and those who had already been on holiday. The test is going to be followed by a training camp from June 26 started with a short team meeting. As in the previous years, the venue of the training is Rolga in Slovenia where Coach Ortega and his players are going to stay until the last day of June. First, they are going to have a meeting and then they are going to start the trainings. The following video is about a day in the camp last year:

 

  

The camp in Slovenia is going to be followed by trainings at home until August 6 when the team is going to travel to Germany to play preparation games. Veszprém is going to be hosted by MTG Wangen on August 7, 6:30 PM and then the team is going to take part in Sparkassen Cup as title defender. We are going to play against the Romanian champion Baia Mare at 11 AM – with some of our former players: Tamás Iváncsik, Uros Vilovski, Péter Tatai – then with Füchse Berlin at 7 PM. Qualifying games take place on Sunday. If we play in the final, the Champions League semi-final can occur again because out of THW Kiel, PPD Zagreb, and Frisch Auf Göppingen, the German team is likely to end up in the first place.

 

The program of Sparkassen Cup (08.-09.08.2015.):

08.08.2015., 11 AM: Veszprém - HCM Minaur Baia Mare (group game)

08.08.2015., 7 PM: Füchse Berlin - Veszprém (group game)

09.08.2015., xx:yy: A team in the same place of the other group – Veszprém (qualifying)

 

 

The German tournament is going to be followed by home games but on August 14 6 PM, we are going to play a charity game against Handball West Wien in Vienna.

 

The next preparation game series is going to take place on August 21-23, in Strasbourg. In the cup called EuroTournoi we are going to have a match on each day. On Friday at 8:30 PM, Chambery is going to be our opponent team and the other French team, Montpellier on Saturday. On Sunday, in the qualifying game we are going to play with one of the teams of the other group – PSG, Naturhouse La Rioja, Kadetten Schaffhausen.

21.08.2015., 8:30 PM: Veszprém - Chambery Savoie Handball (group game)

22.08.2015., 8:30 PM: Montpellier AHB - Veszprém (group game)

23.08.2015., xx:yy: Veszprém – A team in the same place of the other group (qualifying game)

 

After the French tournament, the team is going to continue preparing for the 2015/16 season, including the Hungarian Super Cup in the last weekend of August.
