You can read a short interview with him in the follows:
Let me welcome you to Veszprém! Can you please share with us the short story on how you got close our club and became the assistant coach to our team?
I spoke to Andreas Nilsson about this club first time when we were at the World Championships in France and when it got announced that Ljubomir Vranjes will take over the team I thought it would be interesting to work with him. Veszprém is one of the biggest clubs in the world so it would be a real adventure to work in a club like that. I got into connection with Ljubomir Vranjes and I got to know what are his plans and that is how I ended up here.
Can you summarize your past in the handball world – as a player and coach?
My first club as a player was Ystads IF in the south of Sweden then I went to play with IFK Kristianstad. I had to retire because of an injury in my back in 2003. After that I tried to become a handball coach and I have been working for IFK Kristianstad for over 9 years as coach and 7 years as working full time with the club in different positions. I have been working with the youth teams and with the senior team on the side of Ola Lindgren. I also worked with the Swedish national team as a tactics coach and video analyst. I have been working there since December. I am also working with the Swedish U17 National Team as an assistant coach.
What are your experience with Veszprém? Have you ever been here?
No, never been. But I know a lot about the club, I follow the Champions League. I know all the successes the club had in the past years. I know the sights of the city and watched pictures on the internet. I know that they have great fans and that they are very interested in sports. It is a small city but handball is big there. Everybody is very passionate. This is my experience with Veszprém that a lot of people care about the club and put a lot of effort to support the team.
What are your plans here?
It is a wonderful thing to work with a club like this, with Ljubomir and with the players of course. I want to win as much as possible. In a club like Veszprém you are always supposed to win. It would be a wonderful thing to win the Champions League for the first time. It is a major goal to do.
