Our goal did not change: We want to play in Kiel!
After Monday’s tests, the players and staff that had to go into preventive quarantine, had to show up for further PCR tests on Thursday and Saturday. Thursday’s tests brought positive results for Máté Lékai, Blaz Blagotinsek and Kentin Mahé. The players are well, and none of them showed serious symptoms. Their mild symptoms disappeared after two days, but they will remain in quarantine until next Friday. Saturday’s tests came back negative for all players and staff. During the tests, two staff members turned out to be positive, they are completely symptomless, and will remain in quarantine until next Friday. None of the ill staff members are from the close staff, who can be nominated in the scoring sheet.
After consulting with the Epidemiological Office, those players who presented two negative tests can leave quarantine tomorrow, and can start training once again. There will be 15 players eligible for practice tomorrow.
By the mutual agreement of the board of the team and the coaches, we would like to play in Kiel on Wednesday, in our next EHF Champions League game. For this, the players have to undergo further testing on Monday, and must provide negative results. As soon as the results come back from that, we will inform our Supporters the usual way, on our Facebook page.
We wish a quick recovery for the players and staff members currently in quarantine!
