Our Club represented itself at the IHF meeting

 

The president of the International Handball Federation, Dr. Hasszan Musztafa, invited the representatives of Győri Audi ETO KC and Telekom Veszprém to the Top Nation Meeting event, where the main topic was the future of handball. The president, János Szabó, represented our Club.

 

As it is already known, Germany and Denmark will host the 2019 World championship, on which Hungary will participate as well. The draw was held on 25 June in Copenhagen. The board of the IHF called a meeting with the European associations and certain Clubs’ representatives upon this event. On this meeting, the representatives of the IHF asked the participants to think and work mutually for the international development of handball, including new fields as well.

 

Our Club president, János Szabó, said the following statement for our webpage: “This invitation from the IHF was an honor for our Club, because it shows how much they appreciate Telekom Veszprém as a handball club and that our opinion matters. They listened to us in matters that does not connect directly to our Club, but is important in the development of handball. I feel like this invitation goes behind the fact that we are “only” a club. It is a great feeling that our opinion is heard in international handball territories. The main topic of the meeting was to strengthen the availability of handball outside Europe, and how can we include new territories and sponsors into this sport.”
