Xavi Sabaté: Congratulations to our players for their big effort today. There is a really hard week behind us, some of our players had problems but this cannot be an excuse in sport, especially in this part of the season. In the first half we were slow and inaccurate; therefore Szeged made a lot of fast break goals. In the second half we got better in both sides but unfortunately we made mistakes in important situations. Szeged put a big pressure on referees since the Hungarian Cup final and I feel that it brought its result. We have never done things like this and we will not do it in the future either. I hope that we will perform better next weekend. We would like to thank the fans for the support.

 

Lékai Máté: Congratulations for the performance of Szeged, we have expected a hard game like this. We did not take advantage of our situations when we had more people on the court, which was the key. I was sure that the duel will be decided in Szeged. Even if it is only a 1-point victory, the current situation shows that we are better right now.

 

 

Juan Carlos Pastor: Congratulations to Veszprém for the victory and of course to our own players for today’s performance. There were crucial situations, when we were in a two people and three-goal disadvantage for example, however we could come back. We would like to thank our fans that they came in such a big number and encouraged us. This was only the first game. We are aware of the fact that we have to produce a very good game next weekend.

 

Jonas Kallman: Congratulations to Veszprém for the victory. They are a very good team but we also played very well today and I am glad about the results. We need to rest for a day and from Monday we will try to bring out the best of the preparation for the rematch.
