Xavi Sabaté: I think our team performed well, even if we hadn’t really been able to prepare for this match. I’d like to thank my team; they were great at defending, Mirko performed geniously so we could score easy goals. Of course there are still things to improve and we are working on them. We are trying to improve our defensive system in particular and if it works well, I’m really happy. And I think it did work this time. Now we keep working hard.
Isaias Guardiola: I really enjoyed my first home game here. Playing in Veszprém is a great opportunity for me. I’m really happy that I can play here as a part of this team. For me there is no difference between the Hungarian Championship and the SEHA League because I always try to do my best. Csurgó is a very good team and plays well so I’m happy we could gain victory against them. The key to victory was our defense strategy and that Mirko performed excellent as a goalkeeper. Our good system let us make our fast breaks effective which contributed to our victory.

László Sótonyi: I am satisfied with our offense against their defensive wall as well as our own defense strategy. I think we could make the best of our tactics against such an outstanding offensive and defensive play. Apparently, we made some mistakes; the two teams mostly differ from the fast break goals and Veszprém turned out to be better one. Veszprém’s defense strategy is Champions League level and it was, indeed, hard to play against them. Congratulations to Veszprém and I wish them all the best in the CL. We wanted to improve our own system a little bit and I hope we did.
