Ljubomir Vranjes: Congratulations to Szeged for the victory. They deserved to win today; it was their day and played good handball. We did not start well, and we played with many technical mistakes from which we conceded easy goals. The pressure was huge both from the crowd and from the Szeged players as well. Our opponent started well but I think we could fight back. The half time was 16:13, which was a lot of goals. Their goalkeeper saved well in both periods. We fought in the second half, I would not say that our game was beautiful but we fought. It could have been worse, it could have been 7 goals between but it could have been 2 goals only, if we capitalize on our chances. The difference ended up being 4 goals. We will have a week now to practice. I do not think that it would be impossible to win against Szeged by 4 or more goals at home. We will do everything and we will see next Sunday who will stand in the middle.

 

Dragan Gajic: Congratulations to Szeged, they were better today. We played with many technical mistakes, and we made those mistakes especially when we could have come back in the game. We could not score from our chances. It was great to play here, the atmosphere was very good. I would like to ask the Veszprém Supporters to create a similar atmosphere on Sunday, so we can celebrate together at the end. I am sure that we can play better handball both in defense and offense. We would like to show that in Veszprém.

 

 

Juan Carlos Pastor: The atmosphere was great in the hall, thanks to our fans for the support. My team started very well, which was important later. I think we played with many mistakes but we also had good plays as well. When we made mistakes, Veszprém could come back in the game, when everything went well for us we could step away from our opponent. The spectators could see a typical final, both teams fought in attack and defense. It will be important to carry on like this in Veszprém and we will see what that is enough for. We won by 4 goals, which could have been less or even more. We have to have the same mentality in the second-leg, and have to play a good game in Veszprém. We know what we are dealing with. We are preparing for the final game. Games in this quality is very rare in other leagues, you can only see these kind of games in the Germany or France. Handball won today.

 

Jonas Kallman: Both teams played well today, and fought well to won this game. It was important for us to win today and we managed to get a 4 goals win but of course we still have a game left to play in Veszprém. It would be foolish to think that this 4 goals difference will be enough in the second-leg. We would surely not be champions. We have to enjoy this victory, but from tomorrow, we have to concentrate on the next game.
