Xavi Sabaté: Congratulations to my team, this is huge success. We had a very difficult job. Congratulations to Szeged too, which is a great team and they improve year by year, making our job more difficult year by year. The key in the clash was the first game where we achieved a good result, a 6 goals win. I am satisfied because I was able to achieve many great victories and results here in Veszprém and I was able to work with outstanding players. Such as Gulyás Péter. I am very sorry he could not play in Veszprém but this is how team sports work. Today he could play and I am happy about that. We still have 2 games left where everything is possible. Let's go Veszprém, Let's go Szeged, Let's go Hungarian handball.
Péter Gulyás: It was a good feeling to step on the court today. I have played in Veszprém for 17 years and I think this is the strongest Szeged ever since I have been playing and we could only beat them in this final thanks to our physical condition. The last time I have seen this kind of atmosphere here was in 2007 and it was raining today which was a bad sign also. I would like to thank everyone who stood by my side and supported me, and thanks to those whose were not supporting me also. I gathered strength from all of that. Thank you for everyone for these 17 years.
Juan Carlos Pastor: Congratulations to Veszprém for the Championship title. Congratulations and thank you for our supporters for the help tonight and in the whole season as well. They helped us to a 3 goals victory today. A club is only big if there are a lot of fans. I am happy that we have more and more supporters year by year. Congratulations to my players for the performance tonight, some of them played with injuries. We have to be proud of our team because we did not give up today, not for a second. This final was lost in Veszprém between the 45th and 50th minutes. However not many teams can score 30 goals against Veszprém but 27 conceded goals are too much. A lot of people did not believe in us when we started to integrate 12 new players in the beginning of the season. We have to improve in our performance in key games, we should not have to have 5-10 minutes of blackout. We have to keep working. We either have to sign better players or the ones we have right now have to learn and improve faster. Good luck for Veszprém for the Final4 which, in my opinion, can be won by anyone.
Balogh Zsolt: It is hard for me to process this loss because it is my 10th silver medal with the team. Congratulations to the team, because we played well and won although it was not enough to make us champions. This final was lost in the second half of the first game. We still could not take that last step to beat Veszprém but I think we were the closest this year. These 2nd places hurt but we cannot give up because a lot of people believe in us. We would like to thank their support, it means a lot to us. Good luck to Veszprém in Cologne.
