István Gulyás: It was a difficult game but we prepared for it very hard. The team was in a difficult situation so we tried to bounce them out of it during this week. I tried to bring to them some spirit and take out the squad from the trauma in order to come Brest being smiley and freed. We knew that the Brest plays very fast and they showed it today. I think that in the second half we had a tactical move that was unanswered by the opponent and we could win the game thanks to this.
Borut Mackovsek: It was a really hard game. We knew that before we came to Brest that it will be hard for us because we had a lot of problems from the beginning of the season. We made a good work with the new coach all week long. He did not have too much time to prepare us for the game but we came together as a team and we knew that this game in Brest is very important for us and we have to win it. I think that this victory today will be good for our mindset and for our future in the Champions League. Congratulations to Brest on the big fight and for our coach on his first win in the Champions League.
Manuel Cadenas: It was a very intensive and interesting match because both teams played in a very high level. The final score was resulted by our missed one penalty at the end but any case we congratulate to Veszprém, they deserved the victory. We would also deserve it but Veszprém was better in the last part of the match that was the reason they could gather the victory. Congratulations to them, they played very good handball. The atmosphere was also very good in this sports hall.
Andrei Yurynok: Both teams made a very good job tonight, we were in the same high level. Both teams tried to avoid to do stupid mistakes, so any small mistakes could count in this case which actually happened in this match. Small mistakes at the final period of the match costed us losing the game. Unfortunately we failed the last seven meter shot. We congratulate to the opponent team and we regret we missed to get one point tonight.
