Telekom Veszprém will visit Rhein-Neckar Löwen in the VELUX EHF Champions League this Wednesday. We asked our head coach and players about their expectations about the game and themselves in this clash.
David Davis: Löwen has a very important game today against Flensburg in the Bundesliga. Two days later, we have a match against them. They were in the same situation like this when we played the first game here in Veszprém. They are a team that has a lot of games and a good rhythm for that. We expect that we increase our level with the same consistency we had over the weekend. I think we can fight for the two points there.
Dragan Gajic: We have to keep this momentum and this spirit from the last game and upgrade one more step. Not so much about tactics or handball related things, more mental and psychological factors. The way we played our last game is the way to go and we have to keep it up.
Blaz Blagotinsek: Löwen is a very good team, they run a lot. They have a really good defense but we know that they will play seven against six. We have to be prepared well for that because it will be a key for victory. They have good players so we have to prepare for them as well. We had problems in the first game here in Veszprém. To stop them is another key to win. They have Andy Schmidt and Mads Mensah Larsen who are really good in attack. If we want to win there, we have to play like we did against Kristianstad on the weekend. We have to play with ambition, focus and heart because it will be a very hard match.

Petar Nenadic: Löwen is one of the best teams of Europe. We would like to continue this good performance and winning. We do not have too much time to prepare for the game but that is how it is. We would like to play a good game and try our best to bring home some points. We know that it will be hard and we also know that not many teams leave Mannheim with points but everything is possible. They have a game today against Flensburg, we will see. The team who is a bit smarter and makes less technical mistakes will have the chance to win the game.
