Ljubomir Vranjes about the Hungarian Cup

In the following article, our headcoach, Ljubomir Vranjes talks about his experience in the Hungarian Cup Final4 in Debrecen last weekend.

How did you see the Hungarian Cup Final4 last weekend?

It was good. It was a new experience and we won, so I was happy about that.

This is your first title with the team. How does it feel?

It feels good. It also feels a bit strange. Everybody is expecting to win, but it is not that easy. It was a bit surprising for me. Szeged is a really good team. The fact that Veszprém won this cup 10 years in a row is very good. I am happy about my first title and we are of course going to aim for more. I am not satisfied with this much because I want more and we will fight for the rest of the season.

Did you manage to fulfill the planned tactical elements in the final against Szeged?

Yes! I was very happy about our tactical performance in the final. They scored only 18 goals in 55 minutes. I am really happy about that. Still, we can improve.

What are your expectations for the rest of the season?

Now it is going to be difficult to see the quarter finals of the Champions League, but you can learn from games like those. We are going to prepare for the future. The next task is against Dabas, we are going to prepare physically, and we will have time to train handball as well. It is going to be good for us.
